Also, Seals took 11 wickets – in his home three-Test series against England – which the West Indies won 1-0. seals is a very good talented T20 bowler but he was not included in the T20 World Cup squad this year.
However, he has proved effective in the powerplay and death overs during his time in CPL with Trinbago Knight Riders and Jaffna Kings in LPL. Seals was the most successful seamer in the 2021 LPL, taking 15 wickets in seven matches at an economy rate of 7.81.
Speaking about joining Sussex, Seals said he wanted to expose him to as many different situations and challenges as possible.
“As a young fast-bowler, I want to expose myself to as many different conditions and challenges as possible.”
“I can’t wait to test myself in England and hopefully contribute to a winning start for Sussex in both Championship and T20 cricket.”
Keith Greenfield, Sussex director of performance, said it was “very important” for the club to get an overseas seamer of Seals’ caliber.
“Those who have played against him and seen him at close quarters have been impressed by his skills and appetite for bowling.”
“He has certainly started impressively in Test cricket, and it is also great that he wants to play County cricket and knows how important it can be for him going forward.”
