The first edition of Nepal T20 League started on Friday 23rd December 2022 and will continue till 10th January 2023.
Guyanese fast bowler Keon Joseph, left-arm spinner Rajnannan and national opener Trevon Griffith are currently playing in the tournament in Nepal.
In addition, Andre McCarthy, Kesrick Williams and Chadwick Walton will represent the region in this tournament. Also, overseas Guyanese coach Lyndon Fraser is also the head coach of Biratnagar Super Kings.
The inaugural edition of the Nepal T20 League which was firstly scheduled to start from 20 September 2022 was re-scheduled to start from 12 December 2022, but it has been re-scheduled for the second time to start from 23 December 2022 after a franchise team Kathmandu Gurkhas got replaced by Kathmandu Knights as Kathmandu Gurkhas stepped back from the event.
According to the secondly re-scheduled fixtures of Nepal T20 League 2022, the event will start from 23 December 2022 and will run till 10 January 2023, having 11 January 2023 as the reserve day if the final match of the event can not complete on the 10th January of 2023.
The tournament will follow a round-robin format before the play-off stage, where the top four teams from the league stage will qualify for the finals through qualifying and elimination matches.
Lumbini All Star is currently leading the tournament and they have won 06 matches out of the 7 matches they have played. Janakpur Royals, represented by Chadwick Walton, won 5 matches and remained at the second position on the points table. Far West United, who have won one match, remained in last place.
