“My first time here, and I cannot wait to get started”- Guyana’s Keemo Paul is excited ahead of the SA 20 league

Guyana and West Indies all-rounder Keemo Paul is excited about making it to the 2023 South African Twenty20 League. The 24-year-old Guyanese will play for Durban Super Giants in the SA T20 League.

“Finally in South Africa, after some pretty long flights. I am excited to be here, my first time here, first time part of the Super Giants family, and I cannot wait to get started. (To the fans), see you guys soon.”

Apart from Paul, Guyanese Romario Shepard will feature in the SA T20 League. The series will start on January 10 and run until February 11, with a one-week break between January 24 and February 2, to host the bilateral ODI series between South Africa and England.

Apart from this, West Indian players Jason Holder, Alzzari Joseph, Odean Smith, Kyle Meyers, Obed McCoy (Ruled out), Johnson Charles, and Ramon Simmons will also play in this league.

The tournament has attracted a lot of media attention and attention, and all six teams are owned by IPL franchise owners. MI Cape Town and Pal Royals played the opening match of the tournament yesterday and Cape Town won easily.
