“Russell and Narine might still leave Kolkata Knight Riders” – AB de Villiers

The management of Kolkata Knight Riders were unhappy with the performances of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine and was thinking of releasing them.

But the arrival of Gautam Gambhir as a mentor changed everything and the two West Indies players were kept in the side.

Former player AB de Villiers has opined on KKR’s chances for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

“KKR will be led by Shreyas Iyer, who is one of my favorite cricketers at the moment. He will score hundred at a fast pace in IPL 2024. However, KKR doesn’t look like winning the league,” he said.

ABD made a big statement on Andre Russell and Sunil Narine.

“They retained Russell and Narine but the two might still leave before the trading window shuts down. These two haven’t been at their best in the last few seasons,” he added.
