The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially disclosed the highly anticipated schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament, set to captivate cricket enthusiasts worldwide, will showcase intense clashes among 20 cricketing nations, with matches being hosted in the USA and the West Indies.
A total of 55 games will be played across multiple venues, with six located in the West Indies and three in the USA.
West indies won their last T20 World Cup title in 2012 and 2016, under Darren Sammy’s captaincy. The team has a chance to make the trophy their own again after 8 years.
With the 2024 T20 World Cup in the Home Condition less than five months away, West Indies’s focus will be to play quality cricket for the next four months and keep their morale high to win the distinguished trophy after 8 years.
Before the international T20I competition, West Indies A Team will lock horns with Nepal in a Five-match T20 series and players will also mark their presence in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In the next few months, the Board of Cricket West Indies (CWI) will keep an eye on the performances of players who have done their jobs efficiently in T20 cricket recently.
There will be a huge challenge in front of the CWI as they will have to pick up 15 players who will have to be effective in the Home Condition and win the title after 8 years.
