The Guyana Amazon Warriors and the St. Lucia Kings clashed in the 10th match of the CPL 2024. The Warriors dominated the game throughout and won convincingly.
Warriors bundle Kings for a paltry total
The Warriors’ skipper, Imran Tahir, won the toss and put the St. Lucia Kings into bat. The Warriors’ bowler had a great time in the match as they ran rampant and destroyed the Kings’ batting line-up.
Despite the Kings’ collapse towards the end of their powerplay, losing four wickets for just seven runs, a partnership of 45 runs between Matthew Forde and Tim Seifert provided a glimmer of hope. However, the Kings could only manage 100 before being bundled out in the 15th over.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz took off from the onset

The Warriors, led by Rahmanullah Gurbaz, set out to chase down the total with a sense of urgency. Gurbaz’s aggressive batting style was evident from the start, and it proved to be a successful strategy for him.
Gurbaz brought hell down on Matthew Forde in the third over of the innings. Gurbaz started the over with a huge maximum. Forde made a small comeback in the following delivery as he beat the outside edge of Gurbaz’s bat. However, Gurbaz was relentless, and in the next three deliveries, he hit three consecutive sixes. This nearly finished off the match as a competition.
Gurbaz did not stop there. He continued after that and hit Pierre for three sixes in the seventh over of the innings, too. Although he was dismissed for 47 off 19, the Warriors coasted to an easy vcitory.
