An all-round show by Delhi Capitals. Warner and Powell’s pyrotechnics powered DC to a formidable total before the SRH bowlers kept chipping away at SRH, not letting the game get out of their hand at any stage.
Delhi Capitals (DC) opener David Warner scored an unbeaten 92 off 58 balls in the Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
He found great support from Rovman Powell, who too returned unbeaten on 67 off 35 balls, as Delhi piled a gigantic 207/3 in 20 overs after being invited to bat first.
Chasing a total of 208, SunRisers Hyderabad are seven wickets down against Delhi Capitals in Match 50 at the Brabourne Stadium.
SRH got off to a shaky start and lost their opening pair Abhishek Sharma (7 off 6 balls) and Kane Williamson (4 off 11) inside the powerplay.
Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran had put on a fighting partnership before the former was removed by Khaleel Ahmed. For DC, Khaleel has taken two wickets while Mitchell Marsh and Anrich Nortje have taken a wicket each.

Rahul Tripathi, who tried to show some resistance in the middle, was dismissed on 22 by Mitchell Marsh soon after the powerplay.
Aiden Markram then stitched a crucial 60-run stand with Nicholas Pooran before he was dismissed on 42 (22) by Khaleel Ahmed.
The newly promoted Windies skipper scored 62 off 34 balls and kept SRH alive in the contest until the 18th over of the run-chase.
Shashank Singh also failed to make an impact and was dismissed on 10.
Delhi, however, got off to a shaky start with Prithvi Shaw not taking part in the contest.
Mandeep Singh, who came to open the innings in place of Shaw, was packed on 0 by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Soon after that Sean Abbott dismissed Mitchell Marsh on 10 (7).
Capitals captain Rishabh Pant then joined the action and entertained the crowd with some huge hits before losing his wicket on 26 (16) against Shreyas Gopal.
That’s a convincing win for DC. They move fifth in the points table. SRH are sixth.
