Hetmyer leaves IPL and returns to Guyana to attend the birth of his first child.

West Indies’ Shimron Hetmyer, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals, has left the RR camp and abruptly come for Guyana.

The Rajasthan Royals have announced that he has left for Guyana for the birth of his first child and franchise said that he would soon be joining the team again. They released a video on Twitter, Hetmayer hugging teammates and saying goodbye.

“Shimron Hetmyer has traveled back to Guyana early this morning for the imminent birth of his first child, but he’ll be back soon.” That was the caption of the video.

Hetmyer said,

“Babies are born only once and this will be my first. My stuff is still left in the room. It is only because of a special emergency that I am leaving. Don’t miss me too much, see you soon.”

RR also congratulated the Hetmyer and his wife.

“Shimron Hetmyer has travelled back to Guyana early morning today for the imminent birth of his first child. We are helping him in every way we can, and our best wishes are with him and his wife Nirvani.”

“We look forward to Shimron then returning to Mumbai, and resuming duties at the Royals for the remainder of our matches in IPL 2022.”

further stated

“All the best, Hettie. We can’t wait to have you back, this time as a father!”

He was among the great performers throughout this edition. RR chased down 190 runs in yesterday’s (07 RR vs PBKS) match and he scored a quick 31 off 16 balls to lead the team to victory. Hetty has scored 291 runs in 11 games for RR so far and His average is 72.75.
