Brandon King and Rovman Powell scored half-centuries as West Indies clinched a 35-run win over Bangladesh on Sunday as the West indies went 1-0 up in the 3-match series.
Chasing 194 to win, Bangladesh never got going as they lost three within the powerplay 3/23.
Shakib Al Hasan and Afif Hossain built a strong partnership but Romario Shepherd and Hayden Walsh bowled tight spells to keep the visitors at bay.
Shakib did eventually scored a half-century, but West Indies managed a 35-run win.
Seamers Romario Shepherd and Obed McCoy claimed two wickets each while spinners Akeal Hosein and Hayden Walsh proved the most economical as their variations made it difficult for Bangladesh to develop any sort of batting rhythm.
Earlier, Brandon King and Rovman Powell scored the fifties to put West Indies in a top position.
King anchored the innings with a 43-ball 57, while Powell played a blinder at the death to take the West indies to 193.
Taskin Ahmed had a day to forget conceding 46 in his 3 overs, while Shoriful Islam and Mahedi Hasan having a good day with the ball.
The first T20I on Saturday was a washout. Bangladesh reached 105 for 8 in 13 overs with the match already having been reduced to 14 overs per side.
The third and last T20 is scheduled for Thursday in Providence, Guyana, followed by a three-match ODI series.
