SA20 League 2023 Auction: Alzarri Joseph joins Super Kings for R2.1M, Shai Hope goes unsold

SA20, the brand new franchise T20 league in South Africa is conducting its players’ auction today.

A total of 316 cricketers from 14 different countries will go under the hammer at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on Monday (September 19).

Six franchises MI Cape Town, Durban Super Giants, Johannesburg Super Kings and Paarl Royals are ready as the auction begins.

We are just moments away from the SA20 Auction to begin and already the build-up has been impressive with a lot of international stars set to go under the hammer.

Apart from the big name are many top international stars who are going under the hammer like.

The tournament will comprise 33 matches. All teams will play each other twice – on a home-and-away basis – with two semifinals and the final to follow. The day-to-day schedule has not been announced yet.

The dates for SA20 league is not out yet. But the tournament will be held in January-February window of 2023.

In the First round, Odean Smith and Shai Hope went unsold. Alzarri Joseph sold to JSK for R2.1M. MI Cape Town were in the race but pulled out after Pretoria Capitals bidded R1.5M. Keemo Paul joins Durban Super Giants for R850k

  1. Dreruss should be sent in ahead of pollard and
    hosein giving him three/four overs is not fair, a waste of talent if u ask me
