West Indies were bowled out for 137 in their 201-run chase as Pakistan won the first T20I in Karachi by 63 runs on Monday (December 13). Pakistan as they take 1-0 lead in this three-match series. Pakistan now have 18 wins in T20Is in 2021, the most by any team in a year, beating their own record. They’ve completely outplayed West Indies tonight.

The stage was set by their batters – Mohammad Rizwan and Haider Ali struck half-centuries before Mohammad Nawaz’s cameo lifted them to 200.

Romario Shepherd had dismissed Fakhar Zaman after the latter and Mohammad Rizwan steadied Pakistan. The hosts lost captain Babar Azam in the first over.

Odean Smith, meanwhile, finished with 1-56 from his four overs. Shepherd had 2-23 from his first three overs but he was taken apart in his final over by Mohammad Nawaz, who struck three fours and a six over long-off in the 19th over which yielded 21 runs. Drakes dismissed Haider in the final over.

West Indies were never in the hunt during the chase. Shai Hope Scored 31 (26) and Odean Smith Scored 24(16) Rovman Powell (23 off 15) tried to revive the innings For West indies, but Pakistan were always ahead with the regular wickets.  Nawaz and Shadab strangled them while Mohammad Wasim kept on smashing the stumps. In the end, West Indies were bowled out in 19 overs. Shadab Khan picked up three wickets while Mohammad Wasim sneered four.

Earlier, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammed Rizwan and Haider Ali hit blistering fifties as the hosts ended up with 200 for six after being asked to bat first by West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran in the first T20I in Karachi. Rizwan scored 78 off 52 balls while Haider Ali smashed a 39-ball 68.

Born on May 26, 1988, Sunil Narayan made his ODI debut on December 5, 2011 against India. Then on March 27, 2012 he was played his first Twenty20 match and Played the first Test on June 7 of that year.

 

 

 

Sunil Narayan, who join the IPL in 2012, has been a consistent contributor to the Kolkata team so far. Narayan is known as the flagship trump a card of the Knight Riders. During the match between KKR and Chennai Super Kings at the in Abu Dhabi, Andre Russell had a hamstring injury after which he had to out of the playing eleven. he had missed a couple of games for the team due to a hamstring issue. But Russell is working hard to be back for the playoffs, the mentor of the franchise David Hussey and captain Eoin Morgan gave an update on him.

“He had a fitness test on Wednesday. I think he is maybe a game away so I think he will be pushing hard to get back in for the final [playoffs], which will be a huge boost not only for us but the competition. He is world-class, and he provides lots of entertainment,”

Captain Eoin Morgan pointed to Russell’s tendency to recovering quickly. “We are taking it day by day,” Morgan said. “We know that he heals quickly. He has proved that last year. He had a two-and-a-half inch hamstring tear last year and came back in two weeks. He is working incredibly hard and hoping we get through as is everybody else.” Also Russell is all set to make his comeback after the injury layoff. He posted a video on Instagram to send in a strong message.

In IPL 2021, Russell has scored only 183 runs from 10 matches at an average of 26.14 and a strike rate of 152.50. With the ball in hand, Russell has accounted for 11 wickets at an economy rate of 9.89.

Punjab Kings’ top batsman Chris Gayle has decided to retire from the 2021 IPL bio-bubble, according to Punjab Kings managers. They say that super batsman Chris Gayle has made this decision with the aim of recovering mentally before the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup.

The Punjab Kings said in a statement, “Over the past few months, He have been a part of the CPL bubble, and then join the IPL bubble. he said, I would like to recover mentally. I want to, Rest in Dubai, ”Gayle was quoted as saying by the Punjab Kings.

Gayle, 42, has scored 15 in two appearances in the IPL 2021 in the United Arab Emirates, and overall, Gayle has scoed 193 runs in 10 matches this season, with a career-best 46 runs.
