Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir heaped praise on left-handed batter Kyle Mayers after the latter scored a sparkling century in the third ODI between West Indies and the Netherlands on Saturday, June 4 at the VRA Ground in Amstelveen.
Kyle Myers scored 120 off 106 balls with eight fours and seven sixes and Shamer Brooks 101 not out while Shemron Lewis took three wickets for 67 to lead the West Indies to victory. Mayers came to bat in the 12th over and took the attack to the opposition bowlers right from the outset.

The man of the match in the third ODI, Myers scored 120 off 106 balls in Amstelveen and It included eight fours and seven sixes. This helped the West Indies to 308/5. Meyers joined with brooks, who came on to bat in the 12th over, took the attack to the opposing bowlers from the start.
He was selected for the Lucknow Super Giants in the last IPL season but was unable to play a single match. Super Giants coach Gautam Gambhir wrote on his official Instagram account about Myers’ century against the Netherlands.

Meyers became the fifth batsman to score a double century in Test debut in February 2021. He did this during the Test match against Bangladesh at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. His strike led the Caribbean team to the fifth-highest successful run chase of all time in the purest format of the game.
