Defending champions Southern Brave began The Hundred 2022 campaign with a convincing nine-wicket win over Welsh Fire on August 3.
The second game saw London Spirit register a close win against the Oval Invincibles at Kennington Oval.
They continued to lose wickets and were reduced to 55/3 on Thursday.
However, skipper Eoin Morgan and Daniel Lawrence stitched a 72-run stand before Lawrence was bowled by Sunil Narine on the 75th ball with the score at 127/4.
Morgan top-scored with 47 while Kieron Pollard chipped in with a quickfire 19 to push the total to 171/6 in the end.
Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell was done in by the guile of Sunil Narine as London Spirit lost their third wicket on 55. Maxwell looked to loft it through the off-side but ended up slicing it towards deep backcward point.
