PAK vs WI: [Watch] Akeal Hosein’s impressive 3 wickets including the big ones of Babar and Rizwan.

Shaheen Shah Afridi struck in the first over to remove Shai Hope as West Indies began their chase of 276 in the second ODI in Multan.

Pakistan reached a total of 275/8 in their 50 overs thanks to half-centuries from Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq.

Babar Azam fell for 77 off 93 deliveries as he missed out on equalling Kumar Sangakkara’s world record of four consecutive ODI centuries.

Imam-ul-Haq, meanwhile, scored a run-a-ball 72. It was the sixth consecutive 50-plus score for both batters in ODIs.

The two had put on a 120-run partnership, but after they fell, the batting collapsed as they lost four wickets in quick succession.

Shadab Khan tried to steady them, but he too fell for 22. Khushdil Shah also fell for the same score.

Meanwhlile Akeal Hosein has successfully brought West Indies back into the game after the duo Imam and Babar smashed outstanding half-centuries.

While the 120-runs stand was broken because of a misunderstanding runout, Akeal took the opportunity to take out Babar with some hint of spin which benefited the Windies to take on the big fish with a slight edge.

Babar Azam got out scoring 77 runs and the Multan crowd went in silence after regretting Babar’s consecutive series of centuries coming to an end.

Akeal did not stop after Babar’s wicket but also dominated any other partnership which was about to begin.

As Rizwan thought of settling in his home ground Akeal took the advantage to strike the stumps for his second quick wicket.

Mohammad Nawaz, who fall in Akeal’s trap, This was Akeal’s strategical wicket as he supposedly kept a leg slip to which the ball was ultimately delivered in the hands.

for West Indies Akeal Hosein picked three wickets, while Alzarri Joseph and Anderson Phillip took two apiece.
