Shamar Joseph in line for T20 international debut

Co-hosts of the T20 World Cup 2024 West Indies will play against South Africa in the 3-matches T20I series starting from Friday (In India). Sabina Park here in Kingston will host the entire series.

Both teams will be missing their key players due to IPL commitments and other reasons. Brandon King will lead the West Indies side while Rassive van der Dussen will take charge of the new-look South African unit.

Jamaicans will have a chance to see the much talked about Guyanese speedster Shamar Joseph make his T20 International debut in the 3-matchs series against South Africa at Sabina Park.

Joseph burst onto the international scene earlier this year with a Man of the Series performance against Australia in a two match test encounter.

The 24 year old bagged 13 wickets in the two tests, including 7-68 in a historic eight run win at the Gabba in Brisbane.

Joseph was part of the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL but only played one game. On Wednesday, stand-in captain Brandon King confirmed that the speedster will feature throughout.
