In a rain-curtailed game of 10 overs, the Asia Lions put on a competitive 99 on the board. Chasing the target in 10 overs, World Giants could only score 64/5 with Gayle (23 off 16 balls) being the top scorer from his side.
Chris Gayle still can hit huge sixes as the swashbuckling batter displayed his power hitting in the Legends League match on Monday when he hit three consecutive sixes off former Sri Lankan all-rounder Tillakaratne Dilshan’s deliveries.
Though Gayle’s team World Giants lost the match by 35 runs, it was his sixes that left the mark.

Misbah ul-Haq and Tilakaratne Dilshan put on a fine partnership before spinners ran riot as Asia Lions clinched a convincing 35-run win over World Giants.
Misbah hit an unbeaten 44 off just 19 balls with four boundaries and three sixes backed by former Dilshan’s unbeaten 32 off 24 balls with three boundaries and a six to help Asian Lions post 99 for 3 in 10 overs.
