West Indies will play a four-day warm-up match against a County Select XI ahead of their Test series against England.
The match will take place at Kent’s Beckenham ground from Wednesday, July 3 ahead of the first Test, which is scheduled to begin at Lord’s on July 10.
The remaining two Tests will be held at Trent Bridge (July 18-22) and Edgbaston (July 26-30).
A full West Indies side has never previously visited Beckenham while the series marks West Indies’ first Test tour of England since July 2020, when all of the matches were played behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic. England won the three-match series 2-1.
The County Select XI will draw players from across the first-class county circuit, although the first day of the match does clash with the final day of 10th round of the County Championship.
A County Select XI was most recently called upon in May 2022 ahead of England’s series against New Zealand.
Kent’s Ben Compton scored a second-innings century as the tourists slipped to a seven-wicket defeat at Chelmsford.
