WI vs ENG, Possible Playing XI’s For 1st ODI: West Indies will be keen to start the Series on a good note

West Indies (WI) and England (ENG) will collide in the first ODI of the three-match series, at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, in Antigua, on Thursday, October 31.

In the Caribbean’s last ODI series, they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka. With the recent loss in the white-ball series, the side has been low on confidence and is looking to make a roaring comeback. Playing in their backyard, the Shai Hope-led side will be looking to use the conditions to their favour and dominate the Three Lions.

Meanwhile, the visitors last locked horns in an ODI series with their arch-rivals Australia and incurred a narrow 3-2 series defeat. In a significant development, the regular skipper Jos Buttler who was set to make a return and was included in the squad initially, is yet to recover from his calf injury. The England board has given the captaincy duties to Liam Livingstone.
