West Indies will face South Africa in the 1st T20 I on Thursday at Sabina Park, Jamaica.
The match is the first of three T20Is played between the countries a week before the start of the T20 World Cup.
Seven members of the team are part of the West Indies team for the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup, which runs from 1-29 June in the Caribbean and the USA.
Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, Akeal Hosein, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Gudakesh Motie, and Romario Shepherd are all involved in the matches against South Africa.
The other eight members of the team are in the Indian Premier League or are being rested.
Rovman Powell is at the IPL along with Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford, Jason Holder, Andre Russell and, Alzarri Joseph.
South Africa will be led by Rassie Van Der Dussen. David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen Aiden Markram are the few big names that will be missed in the series.
