Windies T20 skipper Rovman Powell says international break could benefit players

West Indies T20 captain Rovman Powell believes the break for the team before their next international fixture could be beneficial to the players.

The Windies lost 8 of 10 T20 games to end 2024, losing series to Sri Lanka, England and Bangladesh. Powell says the players need to refocus for the new year.

Meanwhile, with Cricket West Indies (CWI) more opened to allowing players to miss international assignments for franchise engagements, Powell says this should not seriously affect the chemistry in the team.

The West Indies won two, while losing four of their six T20 series in 2024, having won three of three in the previous 12 months.
