As a result, the hosts lost by 5 wickets and lost the series 2-1. Also, the team lost 2 Super League points due to maintaining a slow over rate in the 3rd match.
West Indies are seventh in the World Cup Super League standings with 88 points, while Australia is eighth with 70 points. Above West Indies, Afghanistan is in the sixth position with 100 runs.
England remains at the top with 125 points, followed by Bangladesh and Pakistan at second and third positions with 120 points.
India will host the 2023 World Cup and they will automatically qualify for the 2023 World Cup. The top eight teams in the points table will qualify directly and the remaining five teams will enter a qualifying match to secure one of the two remaining spots in the 10-team World Cup.
The 2023 World Cup is scheduled to be held in India in October-November. West Indies were forced to qualify for Cricket World Cup 2019 after failing to crack top eight in ICC ODI World Rankings.
