3rd unofficial “Test”, day 3: Shamar Joseph took 5 wickets as Windies ‘A’ hit back against South Africa ‘A’/

Another dismal batting display saw the West Indies capitulate for 126 on the second day of the deciding 3rd unofficial “Test” against South Africa A at Bloemfontein.

With South Africa A getting to 274 in their first innings, the visitors have conceded a 148-run deficit and face an uphill task to save the match.

Off-spinning all-rounder Kevin Sinclair was again the hero with the bat for the visitors hitting 50 off 68 balls.

However, only teenager Jordan Johnson (33), playing his first match of the series, was the only other batter to resist the South Africa A attack.

Pacer Dane Peterson was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa A taking 4 for 34, while fellow quick Hardus Viljoen had 2 for 43.

South Africa A have declared their second innings on 272 for 5 setting West Indies A 421 to win the match and the series.

Zubayr Hamza hit 110 not out, while Ruan de Swardt got 86 for South Africa A in their second innings.

Guyana pacer Shamar Joseph took 5 for 76, reaping all five wickets to fall in the South Africa A second innings.

West Indies A won the first “Test” by one wicket before South Africa A leveled the series with a 232-run win.
