Lanka T10 League Draft 2024 Full List: Chandrapaul Hemraj, Jewel Andrew among 7 West Indians to be picked by franchises

All six teams finalized their squads for the inaugural Lanka T10 Super League during the first-ever player draft held on Sunday (November 10) as some big names from across the globe got picked to feature in the tournament, scheduled to start in December.

The six franchises – Colombo Jaguars, Galle Marvels, Hambantota Bangla Tigers, Jaffna Titans, Kandy Bolts and Nuwara Eliya Kings will be battling it out against each other in the shortest format of the game.

The inaugural edition of the Lanka T10 Super League will be staged in Kandy.

Guyanese cricketer Chandrapaul Hemraj has been signed by Kandy Bolts for Season One of the Lanka T10 League.

He will be joined at the franchise by former Guyana Amazon Warriors teammate Saim Ayub.

Other West Indians signed to play in the league are Jewel Andrew (Colombo Jaguars), Andre Fletcher and Kesrick Williams (Galle Marvels), Johnson Charles and Kevin Wickham (Jaffna Titans), and Kyle Mayers, Oshane Thomas and Rivaldo Clarke (Nuwara Eliya Kings).

Some of the finest talents from all around the globe were added to the six teams’ roaster during the Lanka T10 Super League Draft in Colombo and via the pre-signings.

Colombo Jaguars icon player is former Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews.

Jaffna Titans signed up Wanindu Hasaranga as their icon player, while Dasun Shanaka was roped in as icon player by Hambantota Bangla Tigers.

The Galle Marvels have a blend of experienced campaigners and some young blood. With Maheesh Theekshana as the Icon player and Shakib Al Hasan being their in the squad in the Platinum category.

Similarly, Avishka Fernando has been signed as an icon player by Nuwara Eliya Kings, while former all-rounder Thisara Perera will be the icon for Kandy Bolts, rounding off the marquee player of all the teams.
