Defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors (GUY) lost to St Lucia Kings by 15 runs (DLS method) in Qualifier 1 of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2024.
Their batting order disappointed and later, the rain spoiled their chances. However, they still have another chance to qualify for the final and that goes through Barbados Royals (BR), who they take at the Providence Stadium, on Saturday, October 5.
Meanwhile, the Royals defeated Trinbago Knight Riders in the Elimonator and if they win against Guyana, the Rovman Powell-led will make it to the summit clash.
Their star batter David Miller is in cracking form and will be crucial for their success in the competition. Among bowlers, Maheesh Theekshana has been terrific.
