Highlights, T10 Match No 22 : Gayle batted sensibly alongside Salt and the duo managed to stitch a match-winning 71 run partnership.

Chris Gayle followed up his unbeaten 52 for Team Abu Dhabi late last week with a 16-ball 30 as Team Abu Dhabi scored a seven-wicket victory over bottom-placed Chennai Braves in the Abu Dhabi T10 league on Sunday.

Coming into chase 108 which surely looked an under-par score here at Abu Dhabi, Team Abu Dhabi had a dream start as Salt and Paul managed to collect 27 runs from the first over itself.

Paul had a short stay as he was dismissed in the second however, Salt carried on and went on to score one of the fastest half-centuries of the tournament getting it in just 15 balls.

Later on, Gayle batted sensibly alongside Salt and the duo managed to stitch a match-winning 71 run partnership. Towards the end, Salt tried to finish the game off in a hurry but was dismissed batting on 63 of just 20 balls.

Ingram found a couple of boundaries and finished the game off. The Braves would be disappointed once again. With the bat, their batters posted fairly an under-par score after managing to get a great start at the top.

With the ball, their bowlers missed their lines and lengths. Things got worse for them overall as the fielders dropped the chances which were created as well. With that, the Braves continue to remain winless coming into the closing phase of this competition.

As well as West Indies’ Rowman Powell has become the highest run scorer in the Abu Dhabi T10 this year so far Powell has played seven games for the Northern Warriors this season. He scored 263 runs in 07 innings. The batting average is 39.67. His strike rate is 202.69. Also includes two half-centuries.

Powell has hit 15 fours and 22 sixes so far in this tournament. His highest score was 63 runs against the Bangla Tigers.
