“I love the challenge of bowling in the death” – Obed McCoy

The West Indies will take on Bangladesh of their first T20I against the side in Dominica.

Bangladesh previously were whitewashed in the Test series which was a part of the ICC WTC 2021-23.

West Indies won the first Test by seven wickets and the second test by 10 wickets as they showed complete domination.

The two-Test matches took place first, followed by the T20I and ODI series. The first Test was played in Antigua followed by the second at St Lucia.

The Bangladesh tour of West Indies 2022 will conclude with the WI vs BAN 3rd ODI on July 16.

Also Following impressive performances in both the IPL and T20 Blast, Obed McCoy has been named in the squad and could make a significant contribution here.

Speaking about his comeback and his performance in the second qualifier in the IPL and his dead bowling performance, McCoy said ,

“The plan was to stay a lot more focused, I know I am better than what I bowled in the previous matches.”

“So, it is just about going to the nets and working out on what I had to, on my run-up as well. I love the challenge (of death bowling) and that will make me better as a player going forward,” he also added.
