India vs West Indies, 2nd T20I: Obed McCoy Strikes As India Lose Two Early Wickets – watch video

India are four wickets down at the 12th over, against West Indies in the ongoing second T20I at the Warner Park in Basseterre.

The start of the second T20I had initially been postponed to a 1.30pm start due to a delay in arrival of players’ luggage in St Kitts and Nevis from Trinidad and Tobago, which was the venue for the first match.

However, Obed McCoy struck twice in as first two overs, dismissing Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.

Batting first, Indian captain Rohit Sharma was on strike for the first ball as Obed McCoy was handed the responsibility for the first over.

The West Indian pacer bowled a skiddy short ball angled across the Indian skipper. Rohit was neither forward nor back – poked half-heartedly and sent a thick leading edge to Akeal Hosein at backward point.

Rohit was beaten with extra pace and walked back with a wry smile after getting dismissed for a golden duck.

McCoy went on to bowl the over without conceding a run. Moreover, the bowler struck with his first ball in his second over as he removed Suryakumar Yadav for 11 runs.

Earlier, West Indies won the toss and chose to field in the second T20I of the five-match series at the Warner Park in Basseterre.

The venue for the second T20I, the Warner Park, has historically bee n a pacer-friendly track, and teams find it difficult to score big total.

West Indies will be boosted by the returns of Brandon King and Romario Shepherd, who had missed the first T20Is due to US visa appointments.
