West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder entered IPL 2024 auction at a base price of 1.50 crores and despite being a regular member in the T20I squad, has failed to land in India with an IPL contract in the IPL mini-auction 2024 held in Dubai.
All-rounder Jason Holder was part of Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2023. but Holder was released by them before the IPL auction 2024.
Holder was expected to get a big amount in the auction but the franchises showed no interest on him. Maybe Holder’s performance against England in the ongoing T20I series also played a part in his bidding during IPL mini-auction 2024.
In few week ago, West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder recently declined the central contract from Cricket West Indies (CWI) to shift his focus mainly to franchise-based cricket.
West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder began his Indian Premier League career with Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2013.
Holder has been a powerful player for West Indian side in international cricket as well as captain of Barbados Royals in Caribbean Premier League.

The big Caribbean all-rounder made his IPL debut in IPL 2013 for Chennai Super Kings. He played his first-ever league game against his former franchise Rajasthan Royals but couldn’t make a big impact on the game. Holder bowled 4 overs in the game and conceded 30 runs without any success. He didn’t get the chance to bat in his first game. He went on to play 46 games in IPL for 5 franchises he has represented.
