The second and final Test between the hosts, Australia, and the West Indies is set to start on December 8 at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. This will be a day-night Test match set to be played with the pink ball.
Australia now lead the two-match Test series 1-0. On the other side, West Indies will now face a challenging task in order to mount a successful comeback and even the series.
Meanwhile, legend Brian Lara delivered a passionate address in the West Indies’ dressing room following their gutsy performance against Australia in the first Test.
The Trinidadian legend had finished his stint with the lead broadcaster and had already made it known how proud he was of the efforts put in by Kraigg Brathwaite & Co.
Lara is said to have spent close to 45-minute passing on words of praise and encouragement to the West Indians in the company of compatriot and former teammate and current coach Phil Simmons.
He said ‘keep fighting’,according to The Age.
Others watching on from the broadcast area, like Ian Bishop, too were equally taken by the reluctance of the West Indies to bow down to the relentless assault from the Aussie bowlers and instead make them work for their win.
The West Indies famously won in Adelaide by a single run back in 1993 and five members of that team will be at the match this week.

West Indies assistant coach Roddy Estwick welcomed the arrival of Lara in the sheds.
“So the mood in the camp was good and it was nice to see Brian Lara dropping in and having a chat with the boys as well, just to lift the spirits.”
