Kemar Roach re-joins Surrey for rest of County Championship season

West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach is set to reunite with Surrey.he thus joins to play for the rest of the state championship season.

However, the 34-year-old pacer, who took four wickets in two appearances for Surrey this summer, was unlucky to pick up a hamstring injury. The Bangladesh Test series that ended after this injury was uncertain for him. However, he was finally eligible to play.

West Indies recorded two big wins against Bangladesh and Roach took a combined 10 wickets and It is also special that he managed to cross the 250 international Test wicket mark.

Roach, who has taken 252 wickets in 73 Test matches, is scheduled to play against Essex next Tuesday.

Surrey Director of Cricket Alex Stewart told the club website that he knows everything about him and that the remaining 5 matches will do a great job for Surrey.

Roach is in line to make his Surrey return against Essex at the Kia Oval on Tuesday (July 19).

In 2021, Roach picked up 22 wickets at 20.54 in five appearances for the club.
