Pirates Bay Raiders, No Man’s Land Explorers win again at Bago T10 Blast

Dejourn Charles and Shammon Hooper produced superb all-round performances to help the No Man’s Land Explorers and the Pirates Bay Raiders respectively in the Dream 11 Bago T10 Blast.

Charles hit 23 not out and took 3 for 9 as the Explorers beat the Kings Bay Royals by 14 runs at Shaw Park on Thursday.

The former Carapichaima Secondary skipper hit three sixes in 11 balls, while Kamil Pooran (45 not out) and Jyd Goolie (48) pushed the Explorers to 123 for 1 off their 10 overs.

Charles then pried out three wickets as the Royals were restricted to 109 for 4.

Amir Jangoo hit 36 while Vikash Mohan had 35 for the Royals.

Meanwhile, St Vincent’s Hooper hit 33 not out and took 1 for 17 in the Raiders’ 26-run triumph over the Pigeon Point Snorkelers.

The Raiders got to 121 for 3 with Hooper (33*) and Marlon Richards (26*) building on Navin Stewart’s (26 off 15 balls).

Evin Lewis, playing in his first game of the T10 Blast, scored 16 off 11 balls.

The Snorkelers could only get to 95 for 2 with Hooper (1/17) and Khary Pierre (1/16) bowling miserly spells.

Steward (0/16) and Shaaron Lewis (0/16) conceded only 32 runs off the 24 balls they bowled collectively.

Jayden Kent hit 40 not out off 25 balls in a losing cause for the Snorkelers.

On Friday, the Snorkelers are back in action when they will face the Point Fortin Skiers at noon, with the Mt Irvine Surfers playing the No Man’s Land Explorers at 2:30 pm.
