SA vs WI; Check Probable Playing XIs, Kraigg Brathwaite Ready for challenge, says ‘we are looking forward for hard days of test cricket’

The South Africa vs West Indies Test series will start tomorrow morning at SuperSport Park in Centurion. It will be the final series for both teams in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite believes his players must not get ahead of themselves and take each hour as it comes as they prepare to face a new-look South Africa in the first of two tests at Centurion Park on Tuesday.

“It won’t be easy, South Africa are a tough team at home, but we are looking forward to playing some hard days of test cricket,” Brathwaite told reporters on Monday.

Both South Africa and West Indies have been eliminated from the race to the ICC World Test Championship final series. Hence, South Africa vs West Indies Test series does not have much significance in the WTC standings.

South Africa have not recorded a single win in their last five Tests. West Indies, on the other hand, have won two of their last five Tests. They are coming off a 1-0 series win against Zimbabwe. The Kraigg Brathwaite-led outfit will be keen to record another series win on African soil.

The pitch at SuperSport Park in Centurion has an extra bounce that will assist the pacers, and they will be able to move the new ball. However, when the ball gets old, this pitch assists the batters as well.
