For Delhi Capitals, Mitchell Marsh took 3 wickets, Axar Patel two and Khaleel Ahmed, Lalit Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.

Chennai Super Kings may have lost some of its key players, but the team’s new recruits have been given a chance to shine, thanks to the guidance of the legendary captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ruturaj Gaikwad are among the rising stars being groomed to carry on the Super Kings legacy, but it’s Tushar Deshpande, who has impressed Suresh Raina the most.

Raina, a former CSK star, was full of praise for Deshpande’s meteoric rise in the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Deshpande started the season on a rough note, leaking too many runs and struggling with wides and no-balls. However, with the help of the CSK bowling coach, Dwayne Bravo, Deshpande turned his fortunes around.

The credit for Deshpande’s improvement goes to Dwayne Bravo, according to Raina. The former West Indies all-rounder has been associated with the Super Kings franchise for years and has taken on the role of a bowling coach this season. Raina believes that Bravo has played a crucial role in the development of the team’s young bowlers.

Dwayne Bravo’s expertise in bowling, especially his mastery of the slower ball and the yorker, has rubbed off on the younger members of the team. Deshpande, in particular, has been a beneficiary of Dwayne Bravo’s tutelage.

“[He has a] Great action, he bowls from close to the stumps, he has worked on Yorkers and I think, all plans have been executed well. And the credit goes to Dwayne Bravo, the bowling coach. And I’ve not seen such good Yorkers during my stint with CSK.”

“Bravo had a belief that if not Yorker then I’ll bluff the batter. I think, the same goes for Tushar. He has the pace, variety, swing, bounces and his biggest strength is of bowling yorkers while executing them under pressure. One has to give kudos to his belief, self-confidence and mindset.”
