Watch: Ambati Rayudu comments on Dwayne Bravo’s return to CSK. ‘Happy that my biggest headache is back’

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was one of quite a few players that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) desperately wanted back in the IPL 2022 auction.

Ambati Rayudu, one of Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) acquisitions from day one of the IPL auction, expressed his delight at having the opportunity to be a teammate of Dwayne Bravo once again.

The two veterans have shared a close relationship in the CSK dressing room over the last few editions. The duo are often seen engaging in banter with their contrasting personalities being at the center of it.

CSK has often believed in backing their players and treating them like family. This has led to a great bond between these players and Dwayne Bravo has now elaborated on his relationship with Rayudu.

He spoke about reuniting with Bravo in a video uploaded by the franchise, which also included a snippet of the Caribbean star egging on his teammate for a dance.

“I’m very happy to be back at CSK. I’m also very happy that my biggest headache DJ bravo is also back.”

CSK has often believed in backing their players and treating them like family. This has led to a great bond between these players and Dwayne Bravo has now elaborated on his relationship with Rayudu.

In a recent interview, uploaded on CSK’s Twitter handle, Bravo opened up about his relationship with Rayudu and explained how there was hilarious banter going on between him and Rayudu during the IPL 2022 auction.

Calling himself Rayudu’s “biggest nightmare”, Bravo revealed that throughout the 2022 auction, he and Rayudu were messaging each other on Instagram. He shared that the messages were on the lines of – “Oh you’re going to go unsold. No one is going to buy you.” Bravo expressed that he and Rayudu both wanted to be back in CSK. “I know he was happy for me, I was happy for him that we are going to be back again,” he added.

During the chat, Bravo revealed how Rayudu was determined to play again for CSK. “Amba did not want to play for another franchise,” he said. Bravo shared that this season too, he and Rayudu are going to fight with each other in a fun way, however, he added that what is important is that they keep fighting and keep winning for CSK.
