“Welcome to the world baby girl. The newest member of our family Alayra K Pooran. On 29-01-2023 we are humbled and grateful for this blessing,” Pooran captioned the post.

Nicholas Pooran is currently representing the MI Emirates in the ILT20 2023.

Born on 2nd October 1995, Nicholas Pooran is an international cricketer from West Indies.

He is a left-handed attacking batter and a wicketkeeper by trade.

Nicholas Pooran was a child prodigy who broke numerous records in school cricket before moving up through the ranks to the West Indies national side.

Nicholas Pooran grabbed the major limelight when he became the youngest player to feature in the CPL at the age of 16 after Trinidad Red Steel signed him.

He lit up the stage in his first-ever game by smashing 54 runs off just 24 balls. Pooran then represented West Indies in the U19 World Cup where he scored 303 runs in just 6 matches.

Nicholas Pooran made his T20I debut against Pakistan in September 2016. Meanwhile, the white-ball specialist had to wait for almost two and half years to make his ODI debut. The left-handed southpaw made his ODI debut against England in February 2019. Since then, Pooran has grown into a reputed white-ball cricketer.

In fact, Nicholas Pooran is pretty popular among the various T20 league across the globe, including CPL, BBL, and IPL. After making his debut in 2019, he has already played for three franchises in the IPL, including Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Pooran stepped down as the West Indies limited-overs captain after the team crashed out in the group stages of the T20 World Cup 2022 down under. However, he has been on a roll as far as individual performances are concerned.

The 27-year-old not only led the Deccan Gladiators to a second successive title triumph in the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022 but also starred with the bat, scoring 345 runs from 10 matches at a stupendous strike rate of 234.69.
