Rajasthan Royals bowler Obed McCoy took a stunning catch to dismiss the all-rounder Glenn Maxwell at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the second Qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season.
The pacer also had a great day with the ball for the Royals.
Glenn Maxwell walked out to bat following Faf Du Plessis’ wicket in the eleventh over. He looked in good touch, taking on the Rajasthan Royals batters.
Maxwell got together with Patidar to build on the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s innings.
He slammed a quickfire 24 runs off 14 balls, including one boundary and two sixes, at a strike rate of 184.62.
In the fourteenth over, Maxwell was caught by Obed McCoy in the deep. Trent Boult bowled a slower bouncer, which Maxwell pulled towards fine leg.
Obed McCoy came running in and dived forward to complete the catch with both hands. Maxwell’s stay at the crease had to end for 24 runs.
Obed McCoy also shined with the ball for the Rajasthan Royals against RCB in the second Qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season.
He took three wickets conceding 23 runs at an economy rate of 5.8. Prasidh Krishna too was brilliant picking three for 22 in his four overs.
