Watch: Tagenarine Chanderpaul out for the second time in front of Makhaya Ntini’s son Thando.

West Indies are on a tour of South Africa where they are scheduled to participate in a cricket series consisting of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is. The first Test series of the tour is scheduled to begin on February 28 as part of the World Test Championship Trophy.

The Kraigg Brathwaite-led West Indies will play a three-day warm-up against a welcome South Africa side especially to prepare for the first Test series.

Today is the third and final day of the match and for the second time, Shivanrine Chandrapul’s son Tagenarine Chanderpaul was bowled by Thando Ntini, son of former South African super fast bowler Makhaya Ntini, as the first wicket of West Indies second innings.

However, Chandrapul has been doing well in domestic cricket in recent times, having once played with his father and built a great relationship to garner global attention, making his debut in the Test series in Australia last December.

After fielding like his father, fans were amazed to see him batting like his father, who took Bales and created his own batting cart from a different angle.

He also scored a magnificent half-century on debut and recently scored a double-century in the Test series against Zimbabwe. In particular, they hold the record of being the first West Indies father-son pair to score a double century in Test cricket.

Thando entered the field to challenge him in this match. Batting against him, an active fast bowler like his father, Tagenarine tried to hit a boundary towards Cover but was caught and dismissed. In the second innings, he was caught while giving a catch to the wicketkeeper.

Thando, who has not yet entered the international cricket field, has now started playing domestic cricket and is emerging as an all-rounder after scoring a half-century in 4 matches. At that stage, he made his fans look back at him by outlining Tagenarine, who was making his debut in international cricket.

Makhaya Ntini, Shivnaren Chandrapul has successfully dismissed 7 times in international cricket matches. Now he, like his son Chandrapul, was knocked out in his first match against his son. Due to this, old memories of the Chandrapal-Ntini conflict have been discussed on social media.

Another surprise is that Corbin Bosque, who caught Chandrapul in the first innings, is the son of former player Tertues Bosque who played for South Africa in the 1992 World Cup.

In the warm-up match, West Indies scored 283 runs for 9 wickets in the first innings while the South African Invitation XI scored 317 runs for all out.

West Indies: Kraigg Brathwaite(c), Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Raymon Reifer, Jermaine Blackwood, Kyle Mayers, Roston Chase, Joshua Da Silva(w), Alzarri Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, Shannon Gabriel, Devon Thomas, Kemar Roach, Akeem Jordan

South African Invitation XI: Wihan Lubbe(c), Daniel Smith, Bryce Parsons, Dewald Brevis, Wandile Makwetu(w), Ruan de Swardt, Evan Jones, Corbin Bosch, Codi Yusuf, Thando Ntini, Smangaliso Nhlebela, Hlompo Modimokwane
