Wi V Eng Third Day. Joshua Da Silva’s century and Kyle Myers’ five-wicket haul open the way for the West Indies to win.

By the end of the third day of the third Test between the touring England and the West Indies, the West Indies were able to gain more respect. Batting first, England were all out for 204 in their first inning and with the West Indies scoring 297 all out in reply for England first inning.

West Indies wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva scored his maiden century to take his side to a good score. West Indies were restricted to 297 in the first innings when Da Silva was unbeaten on 100 off 257 balls.

Speaking to the media after he scored his first maiden century, Silva said,

“Tears Just came to my eyes instantaneously. I got a lot of stick for having a low strike rate. But when i got the chance to score i did and it just so happen, i got there.”

West Indies bowlers led by Kyle Mayers did not allow England to success the second inning and England are currently Scoring by 103 runs for the loss of 08 wickets in their second inning.

Alex Lees and Jonny Bairstow were the only batsmen to score double figures for England. Kyle Mayers, who bowled brilliantly, took five wickets for 09 runs and It was his first five-wicket haul.

Commenting after the third day, Mayers said that Straight deliveries with variable jump and movement would work for him and that he only wanted the batsmen to play as much as possible.

He also said that his teammate Joshua de Silva’s century was waiting for that opportunity and he grabbed it as soon as he got it. Today is the fourth day of the match and the West Indies are on the verge of victory.
