West Indies beat Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the second Test in St Lucia, and Seal the series 2-0 at the Daren Sammy Stadium.
Both Tests were West indies won well inside four days.
A wet field washed out the first two sessions on Monday, but when Bangladesh resumed on 6-132, needing 42 more runs to make West Indies bat again, play lasted less than 12 overs.
Bangladesh’s second innings extended nine more overs and 54 more runs before it was all over for 186. Nurul Hasan was stranded on 60 not out from 50 balls.
Needing 13 runs to win, West Indies openers John Campbell and captain Kraigg Brathwaite took 17 balls.
Bangladesh’s 100th test loss came after it scored 234 and 186 and West Indies 408 and 13 not out.
When the day’s play got underway, Mehidy Hasan Miraz got off with a mark with a boundary then was out next ball trying to block an Alzarri Joseph bouncer and edging behind.
Jayden Seales then bagged Ebadot Hossain and Shoriful Islam for ducks in the same over.
Seales, Joseph and Kemar Roach each took three wickets.
Khaled Ahmed was run out for a duck from the non-striker’s end when Nurul wasn’t looking for a run.
Nurul resumed from 16 overnight and blasted two sixes and five boundaries for his third Test fifty — all against West Indies — and four runs short of his career best.
Kemar Roach became just the sixth West Indian to claim 250 Test wickets as the senior pacer swept through the top order of the Bangladesh second innings to put his team on course for victory on the third day on Sunday.
Kyle Mayers’ topscore of 146 anchored the West Indies first innings total of 408.
Alzarri Joseph unsettling the batsmen with pace and bounce to claim the wickets of Najmul Hossain Shanto and captain Shakib al Hasan while Jayden Seales chimed in by removing the experienced Liton Das on sunday.
Kraigg Brathwaite said after Series win :

I think there is always room for improvement. We should try to bat over 100 overs almost every time. One should be a little decisive in this format. Kemar is a legend. His attitude off the field is amazing. I am glad for his success. Mayers is special. He is a match-winner. He is a special talent. He just needs to realise his talent and believe in himself. Australia at home will be a challenging team. It is all about attitude and being tough.”

“We were in a bit of trouble. I thought staying positive will help and it worked out nicely. I think it is one of the best. I wanted to do well in this series and did so. I try to utilize the conditions with the ball. I carry the same mindset in all the formats. In Test cricket, you play lower percentage of shots and so on as the format changes. Kemar [Roach] is a role model. Every time he steps on to the field, he gives his 110 percent ”
The teams now play three Twenty20s and three one-day internationals starting Saturday.
