WI vs PAK : West Indies Possible Playing XI For 3rd T20

West Indies will Face on against Pakistan in the Third T20I match at the National Stadium, Karachi on the 16th of December at 9am Eastern Caribbean/8am Jamaica

After 63-run defeat in the series opener, West Indies produced a much-improved performance but still found themselves nine runs short as Pakistan registered their 19th T20 International win of 2021 on Tuesday (14).

Chasing a 173-run target, Romario Shepherd (35 not out off 19) kept the Windies hopes alive after a brilliant 67 from Brandon King.

But the visitors eventually failed to counter Pakistani pacers. And they were dismissed for 163 in the final over at National Stadium, Karachi. Pakistan, thanks to the nine-run win, have taken an 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran said his team produced an improved performance but made “silly mistakes” to concede the 2nd T20I to Pakistan in Karachi.

Brandon King’s 67 put the visitors in a position to win, but Pakistan fought back to win the match by nine runs and take an unassailable lead in the series.

“Tough one for us. Big improvement from yesterday. Felt like we lost here due to silly mistakes,” Pooran said after the match.

“Irresponsible from myself too. We tried our best to execute plans. It’s our responsibility to carry the game. Unfortunately, we made some mistakes,” the West Indies captain added.

He praised the work of Guyana all-rounder Romario Shepherd, who took 1/29 and was 35 not out at the end.

“Very proud of Shepherd. It is an experience for us all, and very proud of how all these guys have performed,” Pooran said.
